Research Topic

The research paper idea that i have chosen is research paper idea # 4- Portraying human minds in film. The film I have chosen is on Asperger syndrome. People that have asperher syndrome have difficulties with social interaction. I got inspired to do the research paper on this topic because of Temple Grandin's autism. I am still debating on what movie i am going to use yet but i have a few ideas.

I decided to write about Temple Grandin. I feel more comfortable writing about her especially because I have seen videos of her. Seeing the videos made me feel like i have more of a personal view on her. I am more of a visual learner,so, just reading an article makes it hard for me to be able to write about something.

Hi, I'm Melinda. I am currently a Liberal Arts major at LaGuardia Community College. I chose liberal arts as my major because i am still unsure of what i want to do yet. I decided to pick this cluster because psychology and philosophy really interest me. 

I feel as though i am more of a humanities person. Scientists and humanists have a lot of meaningful things to say to each other, because they all relate to one another. They would be able to have a very productive and meaningful conversation. I don't think that people in the U.S. are very scientific people. Today in the U.S. many kids grades are not up to children in other countries. 


I hope to learn a lot more about the human mind and how people think. I want to improve my writing skills because outside of school i do not do a lot of writing.
